The Payment widget is a pre-built tool for accepting crypto payments on a website. It lets users choose a cryptocurrency on check-out page and pay by copying an address, scanning a QR code, or connecting via MetaMask or WalletConnect.
The Payment widget generates an invoice when a user selects a cryptocurrency and starts the payment. Once the payment is made, the system verifies the transaction on the blockchain. If successful, the invoice status updates automatically, and the merchant receives the funds in their account.

To integrate Payment widget you need to register Calypso Pay account and proceed our onboarding. The next steps will be API key generation and use a specific endpoints depending of what type of invoice you require.
The payment widget is based on Host-to-Client (H2C) integration. The user initiates the payment on the merchant's website and is then redirected to a secure Calypso Pay page with the embedded widget to complete the transaction. While it's also possible to embed the widget directly into the merchant's site, we recommend using Host-to-Host (H2H) integration for a fully seamless and customizable checkout experience.
Yes, you can accept payments without the Payment Widget by generating a direct Payment Link or using the Invoices API (best choice). A Payment Link allows customers to pay in a specific cryptocurrency, while Invoices provide detailed payment requests and on-ramp feature.
